Kate Angelella

Kate Angelella is a writer and editor who lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her super-talented writer husband, J.R. Angelella, and two gigantic cats.

She likes rainy days better than sunny ones.

She has a serious caffeine addiction.

Halloween is her favorite holiday.

She'd rather curl up on the couch with her boy and read/talk/have a TV-marathon than go out for a hike or go camping (::shudder::)

The opera drives her crazy. They NEVER STOP SINGING.

She wears a tiara on her birthday, no matter where she is or who she's with.

She has to stop everything and go outside during the first snowfall of every year.

She has a local sushi delivery place on speed dial. And brick-oven pizza joint. And thai. And chinese. And Mexican.

She has a weakness for black v-neck sweaters. Especially when they're made of cashmere.

She spends too much time doing her hair, and too much money on makeup.

Her favorite dessert is lemon poppyseed cake.

She looks forward to Saturday mornings all week. They mean: JRA, criminally large iced coffees, breakfast sandwiches, and guilty pleasure TV.

She can recite the alphabet in French just as quickly as she can in English.

She likes to knit.

She lights candles every single night when she gets home.

She can get rabid when watching a Knicks game. It isn't pretty.

More than 50% of her wardrobe is black, but anything pink and sparkly makes her smile.

She has titanium screws in her spine. Sometimes they set off airport security.

Her husband has restricted her coffee-drinking. If he sees her drinking it past 7 PM, he makes her pour it out in front of him. She sneaks sips anyway.

Nothing makes her feel as happy as cloudy, cold weather and a delicious book.

Her husband is her best friend. It may sound cheesy, but it's true--there's no one else she'd rather spend her time with.

There's nothing more attractive to her than an excellent sense of humor (see above).

She has more in common with an eight year-old than she does with most people her age.

Brunch and yoga make her angry.

But she does like mimosas, and pretty much anything containing champagne.

Her favorite drink is an extra-dry vodka martini, up with olives. Or McCallan 12, neat. She'd go higher if her bank account allowed for it.

Her BFF is author, Jessica Burkhart, who shares so much in common with her on all of the above, they could have been sisters.
